In a remarkable demonstration of goodwill and commitment to grassroots development, the Chairman of Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Ibukun Fadipe, has empowered small-scale business owners in Atakumosa West Local Government with a cash grant totaling ₦5.5 million.
The cash grant was officially handed over to the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Atakumosa West during a well-attended mega rally. The funds were subsequently distributed to 220 beneficiaries across the 11 wards of Atakumosa West, with each beneficiary receiving ₦25,000 to support their businesses.
Hon. Fadipe’s Message of Appreciation
While addressing the gathering during the Atakumosa West PDP Mega rally, Hon. Ibukun Fadipe expressed his gratitude to PDP members for their unwavering resilience, tenacity, and courage during the 12-year struggle to reclaim power from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“I brought this token as a gesture of appreciation for our party members who stood firm during the challenging years of APC misrule,” Hon. Fadipe remarked. “This empowerment is a way of recognizing your sacrifices and contributions to our collective victory. Many have paid the ultimate price in this struggle, and we pray for the repose of their souls.”
Hon. Fadipe also assured the people of Atakumosa West of his continued support and promised that similar cash grants would soon be extended to beneficiaries in Atakumosa East Local Government. He stated that the date for the next round of disbursements would be announced as soon as visible date is fixed with the incumbent Ijesa South Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Emmanuel Sanya Omirin.

In his response, Hon. Joshua Ogunleye (Bulldozer), a former Ijesa South House of Representatives member, commended Hon.
