- In a historic and unanimous resolution, the entire party structure, leaders, elders, and critical stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Accord Party in Ilesa West Local Government Area have formally endorsed the senatorial aspiration of the Executive Chairman of Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Fadipe Ibukun Ishola (IBK), to represent Osun East Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
The endorsement, which cuts across all political, demographic, and ward-based structures, was reached on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the country home of Hon. Fadipe Ibukun Ishola, located at Coca-Cola Area, Ilesa West, Osun State. Party leaders, elders, youths, women leaders, and stakeholders from Wards 1 to 10 of Ilesa West spoke with one voice, declaring IBK as the sole, preferred, and most credible senatorial aspirant from the local government.
Speaking on behalf of the leadership, the Ilesa West PDP Chairman, Hon. Mudasiru Lawal Olamilekan, highlighted Hon. IBK’s towering political pedigree, selfless service, and far-reaching contributions to the development of Ijesaland and Osun State at large. He noted that IBK has consistently demonstrated loyalty, integrity, competence, and people-oriented leadership, qualities that clearly distinguish him above all others within the senatorial race. According to him, no other aspirant commands the trust, acceptance, and political capital that Hon. Fadipe Ibukun Ishola enjoys across Osun East.
The chairman further called on other local governments within Osun East Senatorial District to align with Ilesa West’s progressive decision, stressing that IBK’s candidacy represents stability, victory, and a guaranteed pathway to effective representation ahead of the 2026/2027 general elections.
In his response, Hon. Fadipe Ibukun Ishola (IBK) expressed deep appreciation to the PDP and Accord leadership for their unwavering support, loyalty, and belief in his political vision. He described the endorsement as a strong moral burden and a call to greater service.
IBK assured the people that their trust would not be taken for granted, promising to restore hope, dignity, and purposeful representation to Osun East.
He lamented the long history of betrayal by opportunistic politicians who harvested the sweat of the people only to abandon them afterward, vowing that his leadership would mark a clear departure from such practices.
Drawing inspiration from the biblical encounter of David and Goliath, IBK confidently declared that victory is assured, stressing that when the people stand united behind purpose, no political force can stop them.
Also speaking, former Ilesa West PDP Chairman, Hon. Soliu Adebisi (Aloya), openly volunteered to lead the campaign structure and pledged to be at the forefront of all mobilization efforts that will deliver IBK as the next Senator of Osun East. He affirmed that everything required for effective leadership, capacity, courage, compassion, and vision, is abundantly vested in Hon. Fadipe Ibukun Ishola.
Prominent leaders including Hon. Deji Oriowo, Hon. Mulikat, Hon. Bayo Falade, Hon. George, Hon. Wahab Arewa (Sasa), Hon. Sherifat Ajilore, and other notable stakeholders from Wards 1 to 10 jointly assured that the entire political machinery of Ilesa West is firmly and irrevocably positioned behind IBK. They declared that the endorsement reflects the collective will of the people and sends a strong signal to the rest of Osun East that IBK’s candidacy is solid, formidable, and unstoppable.
